Rental agreement finalized
The Referat für Informations- und Telekommunkationstechnik, also referred to as "RIT", commenced its work on January 1, 2018. One of the first official acts at the beginning of the year was to sign a rental agreement with the Rosa-Alscher Group for a new, IT-specific office building - adjacent to the present location in Agnes-Pockels-Bogen in München- Nymphenburg. The city-owned company it@M is due to use the majority of the space as single tenant and will be able to add own ideas to the design and planning.
A perfect tenant
Since the groundbreaking in December 2017, the Rosa-Alscher Group has been forging ahead with its prestigious project QUBES. The five prominent cubes of the office complex offer space for up to 50 rental units or office space for up 1,800 employees on a total area of just under 24,000 m2. And now it is official: After completion, the majority of the building, except for one last area that will most likely be used as restaurant space, is due to be occupied by a tenant that perfectly fits into the concept of office space tailored for technology companies. "We're delighted. The RIT is the perfect tenant for QUBES. This creates a central IT location for the City of Munich in Nymphenburg and we will contribute to its quality with an exceptionally flexible office design and interior," says company manager Alexander Rosa-Alscher. Currently the city-owned company it@M has its offices in direct vicinity to QUBES. In order to facilitate future collaboration with the IT department of the City of Munich, it@M and the IT department are moving into the new office space together.
Rental agreement concluded for a duration of 30 years
The City of Munich has committed itself to a contract duration of 30 years. In effect, this results in the City of Munich being a quasi-owner of the building and at the same time it grants the Rosa-Alscher Group long-term planning security. Until the end of September, parallel to the on-going construction work, it@M will contribute own ideas and request changes for the individual tenant planning. The project managers of the Rosa-Alscher Group are convinced that the specific demands of their single tenant can be implemented into the open structures of QUBES perfectly. The envisaged time of completion of the new office space is the first quarter of 2020.
